The Elections Commission has said fifty-one cases related to the presidential election were filed with the complaints bureaus yesterday.
The commission's Vice-President, Ismail Habeeb, said 26 cases were submitted to the election's National Complaints Bureau, while 25 cases were filed with city and atoll complaints bureaus.
The cases included three cases related to campaigning, one case related to observers, ten cases related to voting rights, eight cases related to registration, and 11 cases related to officials. Additionally, 14 cases related to the secrecy of votes, two cases related to bribery, and two other cases were filed, Habeeb said.
Habeeb said some issues were resolved immediately while issues that needed further scrutiny are being investigated.
