The Elections Commission has released the final list of eligible voters for the upcoming second round of the presidential election.
In the initial round of the presidential election, a total of 282,395 individuals were deemed eligible to cast their votes. However, for the upcoming round, a total of 282,803 people are eligible to participate, which includes 408 newly eligible voters who will have turned 18 before the election date.
The Elections Commission has said twelve additional ballot boxes will be placed for the second round of the presidential election scheduled for September 30. The commission has also made changes to the design of the polling booths for the second round of the election.
The second round will feature a head-to-head contest between the incumbent President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, and the leading contender from the initial round, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, of PPM-PNC.
