President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu and Vice President-Elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef met with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the Maldives, Matrek Abdullah Al-Ajalin Aldosari.
The meeting took place at the President-elect's private residence. M. Dhimyaath, on Saturday. The meeting primarily focused on both sides reflecting on long-term friendship and cooperation between the two countries and exploring ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
During the meeting, Saudi Arabia pledged to support the new government's development projects. The Saudi Ambassador said that the Maldives and Saudi Arabia are closely related in more ways than one. The Saudi Ambassador emphasized the close ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives and assured full assistance and cooperation to enhance these relations and support Maldives' development.
