The Maldives' largest private airline, Manta Air, is set to launch flights to India.
The flights will be operated from Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore, India, to Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo Airport in the Maldives. Manta Air said in a statement that the flights will be launched in January 2024.
The establishment of the travel route is expected to streamline travel for tourists by eliminating the need to connect flights at Velana International Airport (VIA) when heading to destinations near Kudahuvadhoo.
Manta Air has now expanded its domestic aircraft services, which launched in 2019, to include seaplane services.
