Maldives Marketing and PR Cooperation (MMPRC) on Monday commenced a roadshow in neighboring India to promote Maldivian tourism.
Named 'Journey to the Sunny Side', the campaign will be run in Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi and Chandigarh until 28th June.
The road show is aimed to promote Maldivian tourism to a wider Indian market. During the roadshow, representatives from Maldivian tourism agencies will be meeting Indian tour operators to further promote Maldives and its tourism. 25 local companies are participating in the roadshow.
In addition to meeting tour operators, a lucky draw sponsored by Shangri-la Villingili resort and spa will offer a holiday in the Maldives to two participants from each of the five cities.
The number of Indian tourists who visit the Maldives has been increasing in the recent months, with 66,265 Indian tourist visiting the Maldives thus far this year.
