The Maldives has implemented a ban on pornographic websites.
According to a senior government official who disclosed the information to AVAS, the block on access to these sites was put in place as of last night. The government has not yet officially commented on the ban.
While many governments often declare their intent to block access to such websites, practical measures to enforce such bans have not been taken until now.
