Former President Mohamed Nasheed has temporarily relocated to Ghana.
In a post on X tonight, Nasheed said he had moved to Accra, Ghana to assume the post of Secretary General of the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF). The CVF Secretariat is located in Ghana.
Nasheed said he hoped to secure the necessary investment to achieve the objectives of the CVF.
Nasheed's move to Ghana follows NAsheed's announcement of retirement from political activities on December 12. Nasheed, who is the Member of Parliament for Machhangolhi Central Constituency, has said he will not contest the upcoming parliamentary elections.
