Chinese gov't donates 12 green ambulances to the Maldives

Twelve green ambulances donated by the Chinese government have been handed over to the Maldives government.

The handover ceremony held at the Health Ministry on Sunday was graced by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed. The ceremony saw the signing of the certificate of handover of the green ambulances between the Chinese Embassy and the Health Ministry.

According to the Health Ministry, these ambulances, resembling the buggies commonly seen in Maldivian resorts, will play a vital role in improving emergency medical care in remote islands. Their design will facilitate easier navigation in smaller islands where maneuvering larger paramedic ambulances is challenging.
