The construction of 75 housing units in M. Dhiggaru has been awarded to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
At a ceremony held today, Zeeniya Hameed, Permanent Secretary of the Housing Ministry, signed the agreement on the government's behalf. MTCC's Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Ziyad signed the agreement on the company's behalf.
The size of the apartments under the project will be 1,000 square feet. The apartments will feature three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry, and a store room. Additionally, plans include the establishment of a park and vehicle parking area within the vicinity.
The project is financed through the state's Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) budget. The cost of the project is MVR 117.9 million, with 420 days granted to complete the work.
