Over MVR 920 million has been utilized from the state budget thus far this year for loan repayment.
According to the latest Weekly Fiscal Development Report released by the Finance Ministry, MVR 921.2 million has been spent on loan repayments as of the 18th of this month, marking an increase from the previous year's figure of MVR 822.6 million.
A total of MVR 12.7 billion has been utilized from the state budget so far this year compared to the MVR 15.1 billion spent during the same period last year. This includes MVR 3.2 billion spent on employee salaries and allowances, MVR 5.7 billion on administrative and operating expenses, and MVR 107.4 million disbursed as compensation. An additional MVR 1.5 billion was utilized for the Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP).
The government has received NVR 10.5 billion as revenue so far this year. This includes tax revenue of MVR 8.7 billion and non-tax revenue of MVR 1.7 billion.
