Police are seeking information on victims who may have been involved in a vehicle purchase scam.
Police have reported that a company named Megatron Motors Maldives Wave International is under investigation for allegedly deceiving people by falsely advertising vehicle sales and taking their money. While the Economic Crime Department is investigating the case, the police are seeking information on individuals or parties who were scammed by said company. Those who have been affected by the scam are requested to contact the Economic Crime Department at 9790048, before the end of the month.
Last April, the police issued a similar call for victims of the company's fraudulent activities to come forward and report their experiences.
