Special Advisor to President, Abdul Raheem Abdulla has said the attempts by some to sow discord within President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's government would fail.
In a social media post, Abdul Raheem emphasized that since the inception of the administration, baseless rumors aimed at undermining public trust in President Dr. Muizzu have been propagated. However, despite this, the ruling party secured a supermajority in the recent parliamentary election, proving the people's full support and faith in the president, he said.
Abdul Raheem, who was elected as the Fonadhoo MP for the upcoming 20th Parliament, dismissed the divisive tactics as futile and expressed confidence in the government's strength.
"Insha Allah, those who spread such news will achieve nothing but disgrace. The team is strong, standing with President Dr. Muizzu. The people will propel forward with the country at Muizzu's speedy pace," he said.
Abdul Raheem's vocal defense of President Muizzu comes while he vies for the position of parliamentary speaker in the newly elected Parliament.
