More than 822,000 tourists have visited the Maldives so far this year.
According to the statistics released by the Tourism Ministry, a total of 822,723 tourists arrived in the Maldives as of May 11. This is an increase of 11.9 percent compared to the same period last year when 735,374 tourists arrived.
Statistics show that a current average of 6,233 tourists visit the country daily.

There are currently 1,192 tourism facilities in the Maldives, including 176 resorts, 853 guesthouses, 148 safari vessels and 15 hotels. A total of 62,491 tourist beds are available across these establishments.
