The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a foreigner found in a vehicle in Hulhumale.
The body of the deceased, identified as a Bangladeshi national, was discovered in a parked vehicle in front of Hulhumale Cemetery on Wednesday. Police had earlier reported that they responded to a call about an unconscious man in a vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, the man was taken to Hulhumale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are currently in discussions with the deceased's family to determine how to proceed with the body.
