Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has warned of potential changes to flight schedules due to adverse weather conditions.
MACL's warning comes while the Maldives Meteorological Service has issued weather alerts for some areas due to severe weather conditions, including an orange alert for the areas between Baa Atoll and Vaavu Atoll until 12:00 pm today. The area is expected to experience heavy rain, winds between 34 and 40 mph, gusts up to 60 mph, and very rough seas.
An MACL official advised travelers to check flight times before heading to the airport, as delays or cancellations may occur.
