The state media, PSM's telethon has successfully raised MVR 14.8 million to support Palestine.
The total funds raised include MVR, USD 1,343, and 81 euros collected from donation boxes set up for the telethon. Additionally, MVR 6.8 million and USD 33,950 were received through online accounts opened for contributions.
PSM's Managing Director Zeena Zahir told AVAS today that although the telethon ended at 12 am last night, donations to the two designated accounts will continue to be accepted until 6:00 pm today. This extension was granted due to technical issues encountered by donors yesterday.
The local currency account number is 7730000655865, and the dollar account number is 7730000655866.
Government agencies, local councils, and associations also took part in the PSM telethon.
