Decrease in drug, robbery and theft cases reported to police

Drug, robbery and theft cases reported to police in the first six months of this year have decreased.

According to police statistics, a total of 2,147 cases of robbery and theft were reported in the first six months of this year, compared to 1,693 reports during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, 843 drug cases were reported in the first six months of this year, compared to 945 cases in the same period last year. Police statistics also show a decrease in reported cases of assault and damage to property has also decreased. In the first half of 2023, 346 cases of assault and 365 cases of damage to property were reported, compared to 291 and 253 cases respectively in the same period this year.

Statistics show that the number of reported cases of domestic violence and sexual assault also decreased. While 131 cases of domestic violence and 160 cases of sexual assault were reported in the first six months of last year, 110 cases of domestic violence and 142 cases of sexual assault in the same period this year.
