The Maldives has officially launched International bunkering services.
The service was launched at a ceremony in Haa Alif Hoarafushi, by the five Members of Parliament representing the atoll.
The ceremony was attended by Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed, Managing Director of STO, Shimad Ibrahim and CEO of Maldives Post Limited (MPL) Mohamed Wajeeh.
The first vessel to receive the service was "YC Barrier", operated by Maldives State Shipping (MSS), which was honored with a water salute to mark the occasion.
