MIFCO has signed an agreement with Maldives State Shipping (MSS) to export its fish and fish products on MSS vessels.
Under the agreement, MIFCO will export frozen fish, canned fish, tuna pouches and fishmeal on MSS vessels. MIFCO said the agreement will facilitate the export of fish to any location in the world.
According to MIFCO, the agreement will reduce the cost of exporting fish and alleviate the strain on the company's storage facilities. It will also enable the company to access new markets, and give the company more opportunities to buy fish and increase its production instead of solely focusing on exporting fish.
