President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has submitted two names for Parliament consideration for the position of Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
The position is currently filled by Asma Shafeeu of Vaijeheyge, Haa Alif Ihavandhoo, whose term will expire on October 31. One of the two nominees will be selected for the position.
At the Parliament's Wednesday session, Secretary General Fathmath Niusha announced the candidates: Asma Shafeeu, who is seeking a second term, and Fathmath Ameeza from GDh. Gadhdhoo. Ameeza, currently serving as the Assistant Commissioner General of Enforcement at MIRA, has been prioritized in the President's nomination letter.
