Former Finance Minister appointed to HDFC board

Former Finance Minister Dr. Mohamed Shafeeq has been appointed to the board of Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC).

Dr. Shafeeq, who stepped down from his role as the Finance Minister on September 30, was appointed to the HDFC board on December 2, according to the website of the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) which oversees appointments to state owned companies.

Dr. Shafeeq has previous experience working with HDFC. Prior to his tenure as Finance minister, he worked as the Finance Head at HDFC.
