Finance Minister Dr. Mohamed Shareef has resigned for the post, prompting a cabinet reshuffle by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer has been appointed as the new Finance Minister while Health Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel replaces Zameer as Foreign Minister. Meanwhile, Principal Secretary to The President on Public Policy, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, who has previously served as Health Minister during President Abdulla Yameen’s rule, has been appointed as the new Health Minister.
Following these changes, the newly appointed ministers were presented their letters of appointment at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this afternoon. The ministers were sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, and after taking the oath, they signed their oaths of office.
