Advisor to the Finance Minister, Ahmed Naseer has been reassigned to the Foreign Ministry.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed Naseer as an advisor to the Finance Minister at ministerial level on December 12, 2023. However, last week, President Dr. Muizzu transferred him to the role of Ambassador at Large within the Foreign Ministry. The reasons behind this transfer remain undisclosed by relevant authorities.
Naseer previously held the position of Governor at the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen.
