A three-vehicle collission occurred early Monday morning on the Sinamale Bridge highway connecting Male’ and Hulhumale.
The police said the accident was reported at 12:11 am on Monday. The accident occurred when a motorcycle attempting to overtake another motorcycle collided with it, causing another motorcycle approaching behind them to crash into the wreckage.
Five people were injured in the accident. Four were treated and discharged from the hospital, while one individual is still being treated at Treetop Hospital. His condition is not serious.
The vehicle at fault has been towed, and police are further investigating the accident.
