Maldives Police Service (MPS) is seeking individuals who witnessed a dangerous accident that occurred in Hulhumale’ last month in which a police car collided with a motorcycle.
The accident occurred on December 27 around 1:45 am, where Hulhumale’ Phase II Nirolhu Magu meets Gul-Alaamaa Hingun. The 18-year-old motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries in the accident.
MPS has urged individuals who witnessed the accident to contact Traffic Investigation at 9444880 to share their account.
The police have previously said the motorcycle driver was a man whose driving license had been withheld for violating road traffic laws. Police are investigating whether the officer who drove the police vehicle was negligent in the accident.
