Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel departs to UAE

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has departed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on an official visit.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the minister is traveling to UAE at the invitation of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.

During the visit, Minister Dr. Khaleel will engage in high-level discussions with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to enhance bilateral relations, review the broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation and explore avenues for future cooperation. The minister will also have meetings with other dignitaries of the UAE government to explore collaborative initiatives, focusing on fostering partnerships and advancing mutual interests.  

This visit reflects the enduring bilateral relationship between the Maldives and the UAE and highlights shared aspirations for development, innovation and prosperity, the Foreign MInistry said.

Minister Dr. Khaleel is accompanied by Abdullah Hameed, Ambassador-at-Large and Mariyam Reesha, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
