Foreign workers’ biometric data collection expanded to schools in Male’ and Hulhumale’

The collection of foreign workers’ biometric data will be ongoing at two new locations including schools in Male’ and Hulhumale’, under efforts to expedite the registration process.

According to the Ministry of Homeland Security, desks for collection of biometric data of foreign workers will be set up at Kalaafaanu School in Male’ in addition to the Joint Operation Centre at National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) and the North Harbour Area. The desk set up at Kalaafaanu School Hall will operate from 9 Ramadan, every day excluding Fridays until 7 Shawwaal, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, and 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

In Hulhumale’, desks will be set up for the same period at Rehendhi School Hall in Phase I. The desks will be operated from 9:30 pm to 12:30 am.

The deadline for updating foreigners' biometrics is April 20, the Homeland Security Ministry said earlier.
