HEAT to hold free zumba classes for autistic children

HEAT Health and Fitness has said that autistic children will be given free zumba classes conducted by HEAT.

HEAT Manager Aishath Afrah (Anaa) said 40 children registered in Maldives Autism Association had participated in a zumba class today, adding that after today, those children will be given free lessons.

"We gave opportunity to 40 children today. If they want to proceed with classes, they can do so free of charge," Anaa said.

Autism Association senior member Ifham Hussain (Ifu) said normally such opportunities are not given to autistic children and thanked HEAT for taking the initiative on such a program.

"Normally autistic children are not given such offers. From today's session we have been able to identify children with talent for fitness. HEAT had given the opportunity for them to take part in other programs," she said.

HEAT zumba classes are aimed for children, men and women. The classes are conducted by trained instructors.
