- Airport to be changed to Kahdhoo Military Airport
- President will take part in the completion ceremony of Gan sewerage network
- He will also take part in the completion ceremony of Gaadhoo citizen's relocation
President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom has departed to Laamu Atoll this morning.
During this visit, the President will commemorate the renaming of “Kaddhoo Airport” to “Kaddhoo Military Airport”. The President will then inaugurate the Maavashu Mosque and commemorate the completion of the sewerage project in Gan. In addition, the President will also commemorate the successful relocation of Gaadhoo island residents to Fonadhoo island.
The President will be accompanied during the visit by Minister of Environment and Energy; Hon. Thoriq Ibrahim, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure; Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Minister of Islamic Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Ziyad and Minister of Tourism; Hon. Moosa Zameer.
