Ooredoo launches new data packs with extra allowance

Ooredoo has launched new data packages with extra data allowances and other benefits. The company has also slashed the prices of existing data packages.

In some of the newly introduced packages, Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp have been made available free of charge, the data packages range from 30 MB to 200 GB. The packages are available from MVR 10 to MVR 5699, with free minutes to local network calls.

Ooredoo CEO Vikram Singh said the company had played a vital role in bringing a solid upgrade to the mobile data service in the country, adding that many of the mobile data users used Ooredoo. As such, the CEO noted that Ooredoo had always attached priority to continuously upgrading their services.

"While the role of internet in our daily lives is increasing on a daily basis, our customers will have a richer data experience with these enhanced data packages," he said.

The data packages can be accessed by both prepaid and post paid customers, either for smartphones or broadband devices.
