The Government had nullified the sale of the Rehendhi flat apartments built in the TV lot.
While the announcement was made by the Government, ACC had also instructed not sell the apartment on an auction basis. The flat sale was announced as part of the Government's housing scheme.
Housing Ministry said the announcement for the sale of one apartment in Rehendhi 1 and 10 flats in Rehendhi 3 was nullified. But the announcement said the sale will be announced in the near future. The statement had not revealed why the notice was cancelled.
Housing Ministry said the forms, bank guarantees and the cheques handed over to the Ministry when the announcement for the flats were made, will be returned back from tomorrow until June 5.
Many Government officials live in the Rehendhi flats. ACC had cautioned over the sale of the flats in an auction as it would be unfair to all.
