Hillary Clinton wins Democratic Party ticket

Hillary Clinton, wife of former president Bill Clinton and former Secretary of the State has won the Democratic Party ticket to run for the 2016 Presidential elections. Hillary's victory has made it's way into history, as she is the first woman to win a Party primary ticket to run for Office.

CNN reports that Hillary had won the majority of the delegates and super delegates needed to get the Party ticket. Clinton reportedly won 1812 delegates and 572 super delegates giving her a total of 2384. Clinton had surpassed the amount of delegates needed in order for her to claim victory.

Hillary Clinton's delegate tally is expected to increase after voting results from California and New Jersey are counted tonight. Hillary's party ticket would be guaranteed and given to her at the Party Convention which is expected to be held next month.
Hillary Clinton who has 30 years experience working in politics will have to face Republican Party Donald Trump in the elections.

Both Clinton and Trump have attacked each other verbally on the podium as campaigns and debates keep heating up. Hillary has repeatedly criticised Trump's radical and harsh mindset, and has stated that such a mindset does not belong in the Presidential seat. While Hillary has repeatedly criticised such radical and harsh thinking, Trump has attacked Hillary accusing her of using her position for her own gain.

An American President serves for a total of four years in one term. Current President Barack Obama's time in the office will come to an end this year as the constitution states that a President can only serve a total two terms. Obama who had won both elections with fair majority will be leaving office this year, and the fight for Presidency is heating up. America's new President is expected to make changes to their country's current foreign policy, and will have an impact on World politics and international relations.
