Criminal Court has ordered Raajje TV CEO Hussain Fiyaz Moosa to appoint a lawyer in the ongoing case filed against him.
Assault charges were filed against Fiyaz, relating to clause 120, subsection (c). The degree of the case had been classified by number (iii) of the same clause, which states that due to the offense a Police or an MNDF personnel was injured.
Fiyaz had responded that he wished to answer to his charges with a lawyer and as such the Court had granted a five day period to appoint a lawyer. Fiyaz has no previous records of criminal charges.
