Defense Ministry has stated that imports of dangerous chemicals and acid, without permits from the Ministry, has been rising and cautioned against such practices.
A statement released by the Ministry today said the had noticed that many individuals and private parties had resorted to bringing in chemicals, poisons produced from chemicals and various types of acid without acquiring the permits mandated for their import.
The Ministry said the permits were issued after the importer and storage facility passed the various security checks set by the Ministry.
The statement said therefore, the importers have to acquire the permits after going through the set standards.
