Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) CEO Abdu Razzaq Haleem and Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) MD Ibrahim Nazeem has been dismissed from their positions.
Mohamed Nizar, President of the Privatization and Corporation Board said that in addition to Haleem, MTCC Board Member Sinan Ali had been removed from his position as well. Sinan is also the CEO of Sun Media Group. At the time of dismissal, MRDC MD Naeem had been accused of corruption and a case had been forwarded by ACC to PG.
No reasons had been given for their dismissal. Sinan is an active member in MDA, a ruling coalition partner and is a close associate of MDA leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed.
