India's Chief Hydrographer Rear Admiral Vinay Badhwar has met Chief of Defense Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam.
In the meeting held today in Bandaarakoshi, the two individuals had discussed on how to increase defense cooperation between the two nations and develop human resource capabilities in the Maldives.
Coast Guard Command Colonel Mohamed Ibrahim, Directorate of Operations and Training, Principle Director Colonel Hamid Shafeeq and the Indian Defense Advisor to the Maldives Prashanth Handu attended the meeting.
Rear Admiral Vinay Badhwar arrived this morning for an official visit. He was welcomed in INIA by Coast Guard Command Colonel Mohamed Ibrahim.
In his three day visit, Rear Admiral Vinay Badhwar will share academic knowledge of hydrography with senior MNDF personnel.
