Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has begun a recruitment drive.
The announcement published on Gazette stated that the Force was seeking eligible applicants for nine sectors. This includes Marine Co., Special Forces, Fire and Rescue Services, Special Protection Group, Military Police, Medical Services, Intelligence Corps and Support Services. The announcement did not specify the number of recruits required.
The announcement said applicants have to be of GCE O'Level qualification and between the ages of 18 and 25. Male applicants will have to be 5 feet 5 inches, while female applicants have to be 5 feet 3 inches.
MNDF said the applicants will have to be physically fit. Applicants will be rejected if they have a criminal record within the past five years and a member of a political party.
