Saudi Defense Minister to visit Maldives

Saudi Defense Minister and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud is set to visit Maldives.

A statement released by Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said the trip was agreed on the discussions held between the Crown Prince and Maldivian Defense Minister Adam Shareef. Minister Adam Shareef is currently in Saudi Arabia on invitation of the Deputy Crown Prince. The statement conveyed Eid greetings from both Ministers, adding the discussions centered on developing defense ties between the two nations.

MNDF said that Minister Adam Shareef was assured that the Crown Prince will soon pay a visit to the Maldives in the near future.

The statement also said Minister Adam Shareef had conveyed Eid greetings to Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
