Former Member of Parliament Alhan Fahmy has stated that he had requested MDP PG leader Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) to run for 2018 Presidential ticket from the Party.
Alhan, a former Vice President at the Party, said that he had requested Ibu to run for the Party ticket. In a tweet posted Alhan said that if Ibu were to run for the ticket, then he will consider withdrawing from the run.
Speaking to Avas, Alhan said that Ibu was closely related to former President Nasheed and is in the position to serve as proxy in the Presidential run. However, Alhan has said there was not sufficient time for this.
