Environment Ministry has signed beach protection project agreements with Heavy Force, to manage the coast of GDh. Gahdhoo.
Agreements regarding the beach-protection project were also signed today. Minister Thoriq Ibrahim signed on behalf of Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Managing Director Ibrahim Zameer of Heavy Force signed on behalf of Heavy Force Pvt Ltd. This project is one of many government-funded projects initiated in the spirit of protecting beaches in the Maldives.
It has been estimated that a total of MVR 18 million will be spent on this project targeted towards protecting the beaches of Gahdhoo - which is highly affected by soil erosion. The project will be completed within this year.
