Former President and Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) President Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom has given the go ahead to conduct the Party Committee and branch meetings, after he had halted the meetings.
The Party's Deputy Secretary General Abdul Aleem said that President Maumoon had given his approval to conduct Party meetings as before and that chairs of all Committees have been informed of the decision.
President Maumoon had stressed on the importance of resolving the issues within the Party by discussions, adding that divisions within the Party was a gift to the opposition. He had reminded the members and Party leadership of the Party mandate.
