The second quarter earnings for Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has risen by seven percent.
MTCC's second quarter earnings report shows that the company shows that the company earned MVR 76 million. The company earned MVR 71 million in the first quarter of the year. This is roughly a seven percent increase in earnings.
MTCC carried out transactions worth MVR 293 million in the last quarter. But this a significant dip compared to the MVR 315 million recorded in the first quarter. Pre-tax profits were at MVR 34 million; last year this figure was at MVR 35 million. Operational profits were at MVR 42 million, with profits at MVR 30 million.
MTCC did not carry out any share transactions in the period. Each share earned MVR 58.
