Ooredoo has launched the first Dhivehi language public chat group on viber.
Ooredoo said the public chats were a platform for brands and artists to connect to their audiences. Ooredoo Maldives will be the first public chat group and will pass on key information as well as interesting facts from across the country to their customers.
Ooredo CEO Vikram Singh said the company had always sought out more options to boost connectivity in the society.
"In today's digital world, social media has created more opportunities to connect the citizens at a fast pace. Viber is used by most in the country, Ooredoo Maldives' Public Chat will further connect them," he said.
Ooredoo has a strong social media platform, with active accounts on Facebook, twitter, Instagram and other popular platforms.
