Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia His Excellency Adel Al-Jubeir has paid a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The meeting was held yesterday at the King Saud Guest Palace, Riyadh.
At the meeting, the President and the Saudi Foreign Minister spoke extensively on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues. President Yameen and the Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed solidarity in the fight against the threat of terrorism.
The President and the Saudi Foreign Minister also assured of their mutual support in tackling issues of global climate change.
President Yameen was accompanied at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim, Minister of Economic Development, Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Minister of State, Foreign Relations, at the President’s Office, Mohamed Naseer, Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulla Hameed, and the International Spokesperson at the President’s Office Ibrahim Hussain Shihab.
