Ooredoo Maldives has been appointed as the premium partner for the Maldives Investment Forum 2016 (MIF), held in India next month.
The premium package is worth US$ 35,000 (around MVR 539,000).
Speaking to Avas after the signing, Ooredoo Head of Sales Niyaz said Ooredoo signed up for the Forum, to cultivate trust in the telecom industry in the Maldives for investors.
"The Government wants to convey to investors that there are telecom companies providing trusted internet solutions. Investors coming into construct resorts in different parts of Maldives need internet connectivity. That's why we're participating, to give this assurance," Niyaz said.
State Minister Anees said that Ooredoo had always been cooperative and worked closely. He also noted the assistance provided by Ooredoo in various development projects.
The Investment Forum will be held in New Delhi from 21st to 22nd of November.
