Local Government Authority (LGA) has joined the Hajj Corporation Scheme. Vice president of the organization Moosa Naseer Ahmed signed on behalf at LGA, at the signing ceremony held today at LGA. And signing on behalf of the Hajj Corporation was the managing director, Yameen Idirees.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Yameen said LGA signing onto the scheme means that the number of companies participating in the scheme has risen up to 33. And that LGA signing also means that it will be easier for the island and city councils to also participate in the Hajj Scheme.
"Already a lot of private companies and other organizations have participated in this scheme. This scheme will make it easier to plan ahead and make Hajj and Umrah trips easier," Yameen said.
The scheme for the employees of the Hajj corporation helps take a certain amount from the salary of the workers and saves it for the Hajj or Umrah trip. Each employee will have the chance to choose how much he or she wishes to be deducted, and when 75% of the money has been saved, the employee will get to choose on which year that they would to Hajj.
Yameen said that this scheme also enables for money to be saved for the family of the employee to go to Hajj as well.
