The Secretary General of the Yameen faction of Progressive Party of Maldives(PPM), has been appointed as the chairman of Fenaka Corporation.
The head of the Privatization and Corporation Board, Mohamed Nizam confirmed this on a tweet today.The post of Chairman was opened up when the former Chairman Mohamed Nadeem, husband of Yumna Maumoon, resigned from the post. He resigned his post complaining that the management of Fenaka did not follow the directions given by the board.
Igbal, who was appointed as Chairman today, is an experienced worker, who was previously the Chairman of MTCC and was on the management of several government companies. He also worked as a senior official of managing Hulhumale'. The former Managing Director of Fenaka Mohamed Nimal was removed from his post. The new Managing Director is Deputy Minister of Education, Ahmed Shareef Adam.
