Vilufushi Constituency MP Riyaz Rasheed has resigned from two Parliament Committees. He resigned from the 241 Committee and the Independent Institutions Committee.
Speaking to Avas, Riyaz said he had resigned on his own accord and to give opportunities to other MPs from the Committees.
"Even now I serve in the Government Oversight Committee and the Financial Committee. I don't have to be in the leadership of every Committee," he said.
Riyaz said there will be significant changes in the Committees in the near future, adding that the PG Leader Ahmed Nihan Hassan Manik wished to bring in this change.
