Four reasons why 'Feel Sri Lanka' is a must visit

The 'Feel Sri Lanka, Single Country Exhibit' is set to kick-off in the capital Male on Thursday.

The three day exhibit held from October 27-29 at the main convention centre 'Dharubaaruge' would showcase all the services on offer in neighbouring Sri Lanka.

The following reasons outline exactly why Maldivians must visit the exhibit on the country we call our second home.

Countless education opportunities

Sri Lanka undoubtedly remains the top choice for Maldivian students. Recent statistics show that as many as 4,000 students are presently studying in the neighbouring nation. Visitors would have the chance to explore various higher education opportunities with several top universities and colleges in Sri Lanka in attendance. The chance to gather information on courses and programs is truly too good to pass up.

Free health checkups - Health & Beauty Expo

The limited health facilities available in the Maldives has long prompted locals to travel to neighbouring countries to seek health care, with Sri Lanka understandably a top choice. The contemporary medical facilities on offer is the primary reason why many Maldivians opt Sri Lanka, rather than mere proximity. As such, the exhibit features information of the state of the art facilities available in Sri Lanka along with desks to provide free health checkups for visitors.

The 'Health and Beauty Expo' featuring thousands of products also provides an added incentive to visit the exhibit.

Food Festival - Your favourite Sri Lankan cuisine

There would be very few Maldivians who have visited Sri Lanka and are not instant fans of the famous 'Kottu" or 'Hoppers'. The mouthwatering prospect of savouring the world renowned Sri Lankan cuisine in another, if not THE reason why should head to the exhibit.

Trade & Industry Exhibition

As part of the main exhibit, a special trade and exhibition would feature over 100 prominent Sri Lankan firms joined by around 60 local businesses.

The 'Feel Sri Lanka, Single Country Exhibit' is organised by the economic ministry, tourism ministry, housing ministry, Sri Lanka High Commission in Maldives in collaboration with Sri Lanka-Maldives bilateral business council.
