Ten reasons Travel Trade Fair is key for Maldives tourism

Maldivian Getaways is holding the first tourism fair in the Maldives next year, named Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) Fair. Analysts are saying that this is an important fair for the Maldives. Listed below are ten reasons why the Travel Trade Maldives Fair would be so.

1) This fair will be the first tourism fair to ever be held in the 44 years of Maldives tourism.

2) The only year that Maldivian Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators, (MATATO) and Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) will be taking part as Associate Partners.

3) Target of the fair being to bring 2 million tourists to the Maldives within the next four years and increase the government revenue to MVR 3.5 billion.

4) The opportunities opened for the participants of this fair, getting the chance to meet travel agents and tour operators.

5) Special guests to the fair will be local and international members of the tourism industry.

6) Ample space available to the participants to set up stalls.

7) Before and after pictures of the tourism industry taken by professional photographers will be displayed.

8) A VIP Gala event will be held with the guests of the fair.

9) A magazine with over 3,000 copies will be published, with profiles of partners, exhibitors as well as visitors.

10) Travel journalists from all over the world coming to the fair, taking its reach to all corners of the globe.

The fair, which will be held at 'Dharubaaruge' during July next year, is set to host 150 local and foreign travel agents, 100 tourist hotels/resorts and 50 journalists and public relations firms.
